Can a chip be repaired, or do I need a new windshield?⌄
If the chip is smaller than a toonie and not directly in the driver's line of sight, we can usually repair it and stop it from spreading. Longer cracks, damage at the edge of the glass, or chips that have already started to run typically call for a full replacement. Bring it in early, because Calgary's temperature swings turn small chips into long cracks fast.
Will my insurance cover windshield replacement in Alberta?⌄
Most comprehensive auto policies in Alberta cover glass damage, and many cover chip repairs with no deductible. We bill your insurer directly so you are not out of pocket up front. If you are unsure about your coverage, we can review the details with you before any work begins.
Does my windshield need recalibration after replacement?⌄
If your vehicle has a camera or sensors mounted behind the windshield for features like lane departure warning or automatic emergency braking, then yes. We recalibrate those ADAS systems to the manufacturer's targets as part of the replacement so your safety features work correctly. We will confirm whether your specific vehicle requires it.
How long does a windshield replacement take?⌄
Most replacements take a couple of hours, and a chip repair is often done while you wait. The adhesive then needs time to cure before the vehicle is safe to drive, which we explain at pickup. If recalibration is required, we build that time into the appointment.
Do you replace side and rear windows too?⌄
Yes. We replace side door glass, quarter glass, and rear windows for all makes and models, not just windshields. If your window was broken in a break-in or collision, we can also clean up the broken glass and help coordinate the rest of the repair.
Is your auto glass work guaranteed?⌄
Yes. Our glass installations are backed by a workmanship warranty against leaks and installation defects for as long as you own the vehicle. If anything is not right after we hand the keys back, bring it in and we will make it right.
