ADAS Calibration
Modern vehicles rely on a network of cameras, radar, and sensors for features like lane keeping, automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise. Our technicians recalibrate those systems to OEM specifications after collision repair, windshield replacement, ride-height changes, or any work that disturbs a sensor, so your safety tech works exactly as designed.
ADAS calibration done right in Calgary, on the same visit
Almost every newer vehicle on Calgary roads carries Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and 360 surround-view cameras all rely on a small network of cameras, radar units, and ultrasonic sensors. They are precise instruments, and the moment something disturbs them, a collision, a windshield replacement, a new set of suspension components, even a hard pothole hit on Deerfoot, the systems can drift out of factory alignment. That is when a recalibration is required, not optional.
We perform both static and dynamic calibrations to the manufacturer's exact procedure. Static calibration happens in the bay with OEM targets set at measured distances and the vehicle on level ground at correct ride height. Dynamic calibration takes the vehicle out on the road at the speeds and conditions the manufacturer specifies so the system can learn what straight, level, and centred look like. Many modern vehicles need both, and we plan for that in the same visit so you are not bouncing between shops.
Because our shops handle collision repair, auto glass, and suspension work as well, the calibration step happens in-house when the original work is done. We pre-scan to capture every active code, replace or repair what is needed, then post-scan and document the calibration result for your records and your insurance. ADAS calibration is available across our Calgary locations on all makes and models. Book online or request an estimate, and we will make sure your safety systems work the way they were designed to.

What is ADAS calibration and when does my car need it?⌄
ADAS calibration is the procedure that aims your vehicle's safety cameras, radar, and sensors back to the factory targets they need to function correctly. It is required after a collision, a windshield replacement that involves a forward-facing camera, suspension or alignment work that changes ride height, or any repair that touches a sensor, bracket, or related wiring. Driving without it after one of those events can leave systems like automatic braking, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise reading the road incorrectly.
Does every windshield replacement need a camera calibration?⌄
For most newer vehicles with a forward-facing camera mounted at the top of the windshield, yes. The camera looks through a specific area of glass and is aimed to within millimetres, so swapping the windshield almost always requires a static or dynamic recalibration before lane keep, automatic braking, and similar features will work properly. We confirm the requirement from the manufacturer procedure for your exact vehicle and handle the calibration on the same visit as the glass.
What is the difference between static and dynamic calibration?⌄
Static calibration happens in our shop on level ground at the correct ride height, with OEM targets placed at measured distances so the camera or radar can re-aim itself to known reference points. Dynamic calibration is performed on the road at specific speeds, on clearly marked lanes, in defined weather and lighting conditions so the system can learn what a centred lane looks like. Some vehicles require static only, some dynamic only, and many require both.
Will my insurance cover ADAS calibration after a collision?⌄
When the calibration is required as part of a covered collision repair or glass claim, it is almost always included. The procedure is a manufacturer-required step, not an optional add-on, so insurers treat it as part of restoring the vehicle to pre-loss condition. We coordinate directly with your insurer and document the calibration so the claim is clean.
Do you calibrate all makes, including Honda, Toyota, BMW, and Tesla?⌄
Yes. We follow each manufacturer's specific procedure, targets, and tolerances rather than a generic process. That includes Honda Sensing, Toyota Safety Sense, Subaru EyeSight, BMW Driving Assistant, Mercedes Active Distance Assist, and Tesla camera-based systems, among others. If a calibration ever requires equipment that we do not have in-house, we will tell you up front and recommend the right path.
How long does an ADAS calibration take?⌄
A straightforward windshield camera recalibration can be done in under an hour. A full post-collision calibration that involves multiple sensors, both static and dynamic procedures, and a road drive can take a half day or more. We give you a realistic timeline up front when we know the vehicle and the systems involved.
